Ice Edge Cafe / Frankenstein

Another trip to a cafe again, which is the Ice Edge Cafe located near Kovan mrt station, with wenyi today! :-) it was supposed to be a threesome date (me, wy and jess) but this jess last minute told us she had an appt last night - for her eyebrows this vain girl - whereby the person could only make it today so she had to go and miss the trip with us there haiyooo. 

Sooo, it was just wy and I /smirk/ HAHAHAHA. Trained to Kovan where in btwn we switched from green line to orange line then to purple line again, so troublesome. Made our way there shortly with the help of google map again hehe. Probably b'cos the cafe just opened (12pm to 12am daily), there wasn't much people there yayyy. Got a seat at a corner with comfy sofa for the both of us hoho and then we placed our orders!! I was so famished then (only ate yogurt before leaving da house) o goshhhh.

Ordered the 1-for-1 lunch promotion which is available on weekdays, 12pm-3pm!!! This is partly why we travelled so far for hehehehe. There's also set dinner promo which comes with a drink (I think) as well! 

Salmon steak - saw a few people recommending it while reading the reviews online so I gave it a try!! It comes with the salad (as seen) and a chunk of mashed potato (covered by the salad), I forgot what it's called. Thought the portion was quite small and won't be filing for me but I was wrong! Felt kinda full after like that one piece? I also don't know why too hahahahaha. Anyways, I feel that the salmon isn't VERY nice but still nice - lol does it make sense - cos it is like a bit overcooked? The meat's quite hard and not those smooth kind. Ahh, sorry I suck at describing good oh well. But anws, I will prefer it to be smoother or smth heh. Besides that, the buttery sauce is good!! :D 

(Wenyi ordered a dish called chicken pesto... Something... It has creamy sauce over the chicken chop and the portion's quite big!! It comes with the (same) salad and potato wedges as well! If you will not get sick of creamy stuff after eating it for long, there you go, chicken pesto smth smth... Hahaha)

Waffle with 2 scoops of gelato - sooo, many have recommended this dessert which is kind of common in cafés ah hehe. But what's 'uncommon' I will say is that their gelato is homemade! That explains the variety of unique flavours they have! :-) but it depends on your luck whether which flavour is available when you're there heh. For us, we chose Choco Brownie & Lychee Martini to go with the waffle!! Honestly, I will prefer strangers reunion's buttermilk waffle than this one! This waffle is indeed crispy at the outside while soft in the inside but it is not flavourful, like it does not have that blast of flavour when you take one bite of it. In another words, it's kinda bland. Luckily, there was ice cream to eat with the waffle! I loveee the lychee martini :p It doesn't taste like gelato tho HAHA. It just tastes like some frozen ice? Ohhh lychee snow ice. Something like that! Icy and sweet with that aftertaste of martini which isn't very strong to me. Yummyyyyy. The Choc Brownie's good as well!! There's mini brownie bites in it ooooo /drools/

Left the place around 2+ and bused all the way to tamp inter to meet jess at century square for movieeee!! Caught 'I, Frankenstein' which is really action-pack all the wayyy man. Didn't really get the ending tho hehe but it's okkkk. I really love how there was always fighting here and there even tho most (?) are by animations b'cos it involved ugly demons and protectors or wtv u called it, idk. Find Frankenstein very cool hoho, like how the way he fights against all those demons, how he saves the humankind from danger wooo. Def an interesting movie! :D

Shopped around a little bit and parted with 'em!! 

Found if at Kissjane but didn't buy it in the end o welllll. Idk man, I may not wear it more than once but... I like it sighs :-( it's ok zhiyu, u have enuf clothes.

Another well-spent day just eating, chatting and watching movie heh. School's reopening soon and hopefully, we'll still have chance to meet up like that again! x
